If you’re a lifelong DC Comics fan like me, who is frustrated by being inundated with only Stan Lee & Marvel driven live action content, then this is a great time to be a life long DC Comics fan. In addition to the 2015 film uniting Batman and Superman, there is plenty more for us to look forward to. We have Season 2 of “Arrow” starting in 2 weeks. Fellow Justice League member The Flash will guest-star in 3 episodes this season, with a spin-off series in the works. In addition a Batman related series, chronicling Lieutenant James Gordon and the police department prior to meeting Batman titled “Gotham” has been set up at Fox. Now comes word that NBC is getting in on the DC Comics live action game with “Constantine.” The show will be written and executive produced by Daniel Cerone (The Mentalist) and David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight Trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman Vs. Superman) The series ” centers on John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.” I’ve read the “Vertigo” version of the title, as well as his New 52 appearances. I like the books and also the genre the character inhabits, so colour me intrigued.
