Ever since the mid-end credit scene that revealed Thanos in 2012’s Marvel’s “The Avengers,” fans wondered where and when he would next appear, and who would play him. Latino Review scooper was first to break the news, which was later confirmed by The Wrap and Variety; Actor Josh Brolin (Olboy) will give Thanos his voice. “Thanos will first be heard in Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy” but the character will have a more prominent role in the studio’s “Avengers” sequels, according to one insider.” I’m curious to see if the “Guardians of the Galaxy” will address the idea that Thanos is Gamora’s (Zoe Saldana) father like in the comic books. If the small scene in “The Avengers” is any indication, visual effects will make the character appropriately physically imposing. With the exception of “Jonah Hex,” I’ve enjoyed what I’ve seen from Josh Brolin, and I think he’ll bring a great voice to Thanos, and a level of depth that is necessary for this character.
