Arrow/The Flash Renewed + Vixen Gets Animated & Talk Of The Atom Spinoff At The CW!

The Flash & Arrow - Brave & the Bold

Well The CW was full of announcements today, specifically pertaining to the superhero genre.  First and most obvious is the network has given both Arrow & The Flash season renewals for next year.  This brings Arrow into its fourth campaign, while The Flash will speed off into its second year.  Really these two announcement are no brainers given that both shows are the top rated programs on the network.  In more surprising news The CW is bringing on again/off again Justice League member “Vixen” to television via animation. “Marc Guggenheim is currently developing a new animated superhero show that will be set in the same world as Stephen Amell’s Arrow and Grant Gustin’s Flash.” This animated series will be available on The CW Seed, which is the networks digital only platform. If, you ask me…this is a really interesting and cool idea.

Do you like what Brandon Routh is doing as Ray Palmer on Arrow? Are you excited to see him suit up as the costumed hero The Atom? Well, if certain plans come to fruition we may get more of him in the role. According to The CW’s Comics to TV guru producer Greg Berlanti, “very early talks” about a “very general idea” for an Atom spinoff starring Brandon Routh!” I think Brandon Routh has been a consistent bright spot on Arrow this season, and would welcome solo adventures with him as DC’s size altering hero.
