Green Lantern/Star Trek Comics Crossover + Details On The Future of The Flash and Arrow!

GL-Star Trek

The worlds of the Green Lantern and Star Trek are set to cross paths on the comic book page this July in a six part mini series from DC Comics and IDW. “The six-part minseries, “Star Trek/Green Lantern: The Spectrum War,” debuts in July. Veteran Trek comics writer Mike Johnson will tackle the story, with interior art by Angel Hernandez.  Enterprise crew members will meet Jordan and the entire Green Lantern Corps in an adventure set in Trek’s 23rd Century. And yes, certain Trek characters will come to possess the Green Lantern Corps’ Power Rings when the Federation and Lanterns combine forces to take on a formidable common foe.” As a fan of both these franchise, this makes total sense, and I will definitely be adding this book to my list come July.

Canary Cry

This past weekend at Wonder Con, we learned new tidbits about The Black Canary, and some plans for season 4.  “To begin with, the arrival of characters from Arrow showing up in Central City was addressed, and Kreisberg confirmed that it will be Cisco who helps Laurel with a new version of the Canary Cry which will work in a similar way to the comic books. Black Canary isn’t going to become a metahuman just yet then, but will have that famous sonic scream!” In addition, details on the villain of next season have been revealed. “From my understanding, H.I.V.E. is going to be a big part of next season’s big baddie.  We are going to delve right into why H.I.V.E. hired Deadshot to kill Andy and what H.I.V.E. is all about to begin with. There will be a lot of Diggle’s connection to H.I.V.E. next season so stay tuned.” It seems as though the connectivity between The Flash and Arrow is going to continue, and that to me, is a good thing.
