We’ve been hearing about this for quite some time, but now we have official confirmation; “James Wan is set to direct “Aquaman” for Warner Bros. The superhero film stars Jason Momoa, with Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder and Zack Snyder producing. Wan will also be supervising the script, to be written by Kurt Johnstad.” The director of the most recent, and most successful Fast and the Furious film, and the writer of the original “300” film together with Jason Momoa starring. That sounds like a kick ass trifecta for Aquaman. With the announcement, the studio released a brief synopsis for the film which reads; “The film follows Aquaman, the King of the Seven Seas and the reluctant ruler of Atlantis, who is caught between a surface world constantly ravaging the sea and Atlanteans looking to lash out in revolt, but is committed to protecting the entire globe.” The film won’t star Vincent Chase of be directed by James Cameron, like it was on the HBO series “Entourage”, but I’m really excited by the people Warner Brothers has brought onboard to bring Aquaman to the big screen for the first time.
