New York Comic Con may not get as much hype as San Diego Comic Con, but we always seem to get something cool from it. That is true once again, as we have a new picture of Ben Affleck as Batman next to the Batmobile from Batman V Superman:Dawn of Justice. Technically it’s not a new image. This one’s been circulating for a while, but in poor quality. This is the first high quality version of the image we’ve seen. Simply put, Batman looks majestic. As of this writing, there are only 168 days until we get to see the most anticipated superhero movie of ALL-TIME in theaters. PS: If you don’t think that image looks cool, see a doctor, specifically Dr. Harleen Quinzel.
The film adaptation of Justice League: Dark appeared to be in development hell once writer/director Guillermo Del Toro left the project to do Pacific Rim 2. However, the project seems to be on the fast track now. “Despite the departure of Guillermo Del Toro, it’s now apparent that the JUSTICE LEAGUE DARK adaptation, otherwise known as DARK UNIVERSE, is moving forward under the guide of Scott Rudin. Del Toro is still staying on as a producer, though he’ll no longer direct.” The Producer behind the upcoming Steve Jobs film, and No Country For Old Men, is adjusting the script and meeting with directors. Regarding the plot of the film, the site says; “It involves a series of ancient tomes stolen by a madman hellbent on the destruction of humanity. When he learns of this, occult detective John Constantine seeks out a group of heroes that specialize in the mystic and arcane in order to save the world. Though the film’s heroes have not yet been announced, save for Constantine, Del Toro had mentioned that Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan The Demon will likely make up the team.” The site adds that the film exists within the DC Extended Universe, and while the film stands on its own merits, the characters will be slotted throughout the DCEU at a later date.
