Wonder Woman - production start

The day all DC Comics fans have waited for, and thought would never arrive, is here. The first ever live action Wonder Woman film has begun filming in London England. DC’s creative officer Geoff Johns posted words of encouragement to Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins.  He also posted a castle/mansion location in Rickmansworth England.  Speaking of photo’s, Wonder Woman actress Gal Gadot also took to social media with the quote; “Morning work out! The best way to start my day!!!”

Nicole Kidman cast in Wonder Woman

Speaking of actors and actresses, so far the only confirmed actors and actresses include Gal Gadot as Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman, and Chris Pine as Steve Trevor.  We’ve heard rumors suggesting that Warner Brothers wants Sean Bean as Ares, the God of War and Eva Green as Circe. More concrete information has surfaced regarding another character, “Oscar winner Nicole Kidman is in ongoing negotiations to play a high-ranking Amazonian warrior alongside Gal Gadot in WB’s “Wonder Woman,” an individual familiar with the project has told TheWrap.”  The site speculates that Nicole Kidman’s role is that of Hippolyta, Wonder Woman’s mother and Queen of the Amazon’s.  I think this is great casting. Not only does the production add a high quality, award winning actress, but she also has a great look similar to her comic book counterpart.. Long time DC Comics movie fans will notice that my title for this article is a nod to Nicole Kidman’s role as Dr. Chase Meridian in “Batman Forever.” This casting therefore  is the DC Comics multiverse exerting it’s power on Hollywood.
