I’ve Heard Aquaman’s Wife Is A Hottie In The DCEU!

By: Adam Basciano

We’ve known for a while that Jason Momoa would star as Aquaman in the DCEU, starting with a cameo in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. That would be followed by an appearance in Justice League: Part One, before starring in his characters solo movie in July of 2018. The Aquaman film will be directed by James Wan. As it turns out, the director has found a companion for the King of Atlantis to rule with. “Amber Heard is in talks to join the cast of WB’s “Justice League” pic as the love interest of Jason Momoa’s Aquaman, sources close to the project tell Variety. Insiders go on to add that she would not only appear in “Justice League” but would also co-star with Momoa in the studio’s standalone pic.” Since director James Wan posted this news on his personal Facebook page, that would indicate that negotiations went well. The actress certainly has a great look for Mera, but since I haven’t seen any of the actress’ work, I’ll trust that James Wan, Zack Snyder and Team DCEU, chose the best actress for the job.

The CW is readying to debut its newest television series spinning out of Arrow and The Flash. Already boasting an interesting assortment of characters, the time travel element of the show allows for an endless variety of DC Comics heroes to appear. “Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim says. “But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.” I am personally so excited for this show. It looks great, and even though it’s on TV, I think it will do for DC, what Guardians of the Galaxy did for Marvel. Be sure to watch the premiere, January 21 on The CW.
