Well, you knew the success of Deadpool would open the floodgates, and it seemingly has. To be fair, Warner Brothers has made R rated comic book adaptations before. These include, 300, Watchmen and V For Vendetta. While there’s no word as of yet if the potential film will target an R rating, The Wrap reports that; “Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment are turning to their “Wonder Woman” writer Jason Fuchs to pen Lobo.Insiders suggest that Fuchs will start from scratch with his own take on Lobo — an alien who works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. The character became a popular figure among fans of DC comic books following his revival in the early 90’s as a biker anti-hero.” I’m not all too familiar with the character. I know he’s made appearances in Superman: The Animated Series, and Justice League/JLU. I haven’t read the comic books, but I will do my due diligence to be sure. The hiring of Jason Fuchs by Warner Brothers to write another DC Comics property suggests the studio’s confidence in the writer, and more importantly, what he delivered in the Wonder Woman script.
